Our first documentary short explores the life and spiritual legacy of a beloved twentieth-century saint from the Greek island of Patmos. Filmed over the course of the first celebration of his April feast day in 2019, locals and pilgrims to the island share their remembrances of the saint. St. Amphilochios (1889-1970) was a tireless spiritual father, missionary, and founder of orphanages and monasteries.

Saint Amphilochios was a spiritual son of St Nektarios of Aegina and a spiritual father of St Gavrilia. His life on Patmos overlapped with that of Metropolitan Kallistos Ware, who was tonsured a monk there in the 1950s.

St Amphilochios started his monastic life at the monastery of St John the Theologian at the top of the island. Later he founded Evangelismos (Annunciation) Monastery depicted in the foreground.
